Dr. Yasuda is the Director of the Educational Core for the Arizona CERT and maintains responsibility for the Arizona CERT web site as editor-in-chief. She is Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at Georgetown University Medical Center. At Georgetown she has served on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee since 1990 and co-chaired the Pharmacy Task Force in 1997. Her basic and clinical research focuses on regulation of the histamine receptor and its role in determining variability in response to antihistamines. She is actively involved in teaching at Georgetown University School of Medicine and was co-director of a new course this year on herbal therapies. In addition she co-directed an Elderhostel course on medication and therapeutics. She is the director of the clinical pharmacy clerkship program in which PharmD students from other universities rotate through Clinical Pharmacology at Georgetown. Dr. Yasuda is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT) and served as Vice Chair for Continuing Pharmacy Education from 1997-1999 during which time she established the ACPE-accredited continuing education program. She co-chairs the ASCPT workshop "Optimizing formulary Decision Making: Core Expertise for Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees". Return to Faculty Profile |
