This CERT developed module is the result of a needs survey sent to all third year medicine clerkship directors and medicine
residency program directors in the U.S. The module contains slides of speakers' notes, test questions, and an evaluation form.

Overview of Long QT Syndrome and Torsades de Pointes
Discussion of the long QT syndrome and its associated life-threatening arrhythmia, Torsades de Pointes, can become somewhat esoteric, even for cardiologists. It is, however, an important syndrome for all physicians and health-care providers to be able to recognize and manage, because it can occur as a life-threatening side effect of so many medications.

The Association for Medical School Pharmacology has made the Knowledge Objectives (third edition, 2002) available for download as a PDF file on their website. Clinical Pharmacology.
