Studies on Diabetes |
A freeze-dried decoction showed no effect on blood glucose level in normal mice when administered orally though did decrease levels in a dose-dependent manner after interperitoneal injection. It also lowered the glycemia of mild alloxan-diabetic mice and rats, but not in severe alloxan-diabetic rats (Alarcon-Aguilar 2002). |
