Studies on Diabetes  Alloxin rats showed a 66% decrease in glucose levels from oral administration and peritoneal injection (Perez, et. al, 1984).
Other Uses  Stomachache, liver and kidney disease, anti-inflammatory, and anti-biotic (Kay 1996).
Formulations used by  Informants  Commercially prepared hot infusion (Diabetea).

Potential Medication  Interactions  Diabetic Medications: may increase effects (Kay 1996).
