Background & History

Our Center: ArizonaCERT, designated by a grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), has established an International Registry for Drug-Induced Arrhythmias (also known as the QT Registry). Physicians are encouraged to submit case reports of drug-induced arrhythmia incidents with patient information, including samples of genetic material and ECG, if possible, to our registry. In additon, we welcome about drugs suspected to be associated with prologation of the QT interval and torsades.

Our Progress: Since the initial launch of the Registry, we have continued to advance our educational and research efforts by developing resources for both medical professionals and consumers. As a result, we have combined our Web components (www.QTdrugs.org and www.torsades.org) under the auspices of ArizonaCERT, creating a comprehensive web resource dedicated to education and research on drug-induced arrhythmias, especially those due to prolongation of the QT interval on the electrocardiogram (ECG).
